A little about the counselor, Bonnie experienced an unbearable tragedy that shifted her world into the unknown in 2013- the death of her 15 1/2 year old son Brandon. Tragically, his deep capacity for love and caring for others enabled him to hide his own suffering. Although she never thought she would smile or laugh again, she was blessed to have family, and friends, stick by her side and love her when she wasn't very loveable. She survived this unimaginable loss of her son and prospered in her own grief journey using tools and resources she was given.

Having worn her tears as armor, she has taken those tears and this program and has turned them into the strength to make a difference for others. She found that once she had given herself time to process the loss, giving back to a community of fellow loss survivors aided her in her own grief journey and recovery. Losing our loved ones doesn't mean we have to lose ourselves.
