Meet Rene of Just Add Muscle

Rene was born in Cuba and came to America in 1987 at age 9.  He went to school  in Massachusetts and joined the US Marines in 1996 directly after graduation. Rene served 4 years in the US Marine Corps infantry. During his service, he competed in bodybuilding for motivational purposes and self improvement.

Rene started weightlifting and bodybuilding at the age of 12, and as a young boy, when all his friends were reading comic books, he read every article in muscle and fitness magazines, even the adds. His focus was to acquire all the knowledge he could on how to develop a healthier and more muscular physique.   Rene's boyhood heroes were Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone. He wanted to be big and strong like them. All of this led him to learn about proper health, diet, nutrition, and when they became available, proper use of vitamins and nutritional supplements. He feels this lifestyle has greatly improved his quality of life and created a feeling of well being and a positive attitude in everything he does.
 

Rene and Judy are owner operators and are not interested in marketing schemes of major companies promoting products solely on advertising. Most of the products they stock have been personally tested by them and/or their athletes in the gym or for competitions. They also carry a full line of preventive supplements, plus herbal and natural products to prevent diseases and illness.

Rene's philosophy is that small business owners need to be familiar with their customers and tend to each person's specific needs. Rene and Judy sponsor many local and out of state bodybuilding, fitness and strongman competitions. Rene is married with 2 beautiful daughters.  Ask him and he will tell you they keep him very busy and on his toes at all times. Both Rene and and Judy, being very much into a healthy lifestyle, spend a lot of time in the gym.  When they are not  working in their store or working out, they enjoy spending time with their children, outdoor family activities like fishing, camping, going to the theme parks with the kids, and BBQ's at the park.
