Out of the service in 1988, George went to work
for an eye surgeon and at a hospital in Sarasota/Bradenton. He also went to
Venice for the Fire Academy. He actually likes the idea of rushing into a
burning building when everyone else is rushing to get out!
He was able to consolidate 2 jobs into one when he took a position at Metpath
Laboratories. When he finally decided he wanted to be a Chiropractor and was
accepted at Life University School of Chiropractic in Georgia, Metpath
Laboratories transferred him to their facility near the school. That was how
he paid for school until, as a student, he was offered a faculty position
teaching laboratory diagnosis.
Upon his graduation, he opened a private practice in Cumming, Georgia and at
the same time became a Code Enforcement Officer for Fulton County so he
wouldn't have to take out any more loans for the money to run the practice. He
worked both at the same time and just scheduled one around the other. Are you
noticing a pattern of someone not being afraid to do the work to reach the
goals?
